Recognized as one the best carribean foodie favs in the Flower City. Located at 211 Genesee Street, just inside Rochester’s 19th Ward, the restaurant is located in a cultural rich black neighborhood.
Also rich is the variety of food and the quality. As you can see above, they got the mean line up. Admittedly, all i got on this day was mac & cheese and a beef pattie. But, when I asked about the mac and cheese, she asked if I wanted curry gravy, stewed chicken gravy and jerk gravy on the mac & cheese. How’s that for variety?
Although IAL is a bit pricey, the people are cool/classy, their food is among the best in Rochester, and they stay open fairly late (9p-10p). IAL is one of those places that will nearly always cater to your needs.
